Though some SEO experts feel that META description is no longer important, it his highly advisable to have it anyway because there are many other search engines that utilize this feature to display your website details in the search results page.

By taking time and writing a proper META description, you will not only get good rankings but also make sense to the visitors even BEFORE they visit your website.

Write your META description tag below your META title tag. Do not go overboard here and add a series of keywords. Write for the visitors. Give a brief benefit of what the visitor is going to find on your web page.

Make sure your META description is less than 200 characters in length because it may get truncated.

Dynamic websites are not preferred over static websites as they DO NOT have pages of their own. About 80% of the content are randomly selected by the server and put on the website each time it loads. But, I have seen dynamic websites performing very well in search engines because of the optimization.

Here are some tips to optimize your Dynamic website for high search engine rankings:

#1.Generate a sitemap using http://sitemapgenerator.com
and submit it to Google Webmaster Tools and Yahoo.com. DO NOT skip this step even if your website has more than 100 pages on it.

#2. Get back links to the inner pages of your website from other websites of the same niche or link directories, classified ads etc.

#3. You can even convert dynamic pages to static by URL re-writing techniques.

#4. DO NOT use session IDs especially when people are not logged in.

#5. You can even create your own .html or .htm static page by taking the html code in the “View Source option” available in the dynamic website.

NOTE: The more your website pages are indexed the better will be the rankings of your website.
