Tips To Influence Others

Well, this one is a real dream-killer. I am talking about this notion of “having a success story.”

This is not entirely true, isn’t it?

It’s not the success story that is required… it’s a relatable story or experience that is more powerful than a success story.

It is understandable to think that having a success story is essential to influence others, but it’s important to remember that everyone’s journey is different .

People can relate to failures and struggles as well as success.

In fact, this is what connects you to your audience. Why? Because they are authentic and unique.

The belief that you need a success story to be influential is very limiting, and it’s essential to question and challenge it to unlock your full potential for influence.

Instead of focusing on the lack of a success story, focus on the opportunities and possibilities to create one.

Every experience is an opportunity to learn and grow and to use that experience to create positive change.

Some people always focus on success stories to justify a lack of self-confidence or willingness to take on more prominent roles. They use this as an excuse for not rising to expectations.

True influence is earned through hard work and dedication, not solely based on past accomplishments. Yes, or no?

The more important questions to ask are:

  • How can you be more relatable and authentic with your audience?
  • How can you share your struggles, failures, and lessons learned in a way that will inspire and empower other people?

Reflecting on these questions can help you identify opportunities to build that powerful positioning.

If you continue to believe that you need a success story to influence others, you may miss out on the opportunity to connect with your audience on a deeper level.

Instead, suppose you are willing to be vulnerable and share your authentic self. In that case, you’ll open yourself up to new opportunities and the possibility of building deeper connections and influence with people.

That’s how we work at Stardom to help our clients become authority influencers. It’s not just about writing a book or creating a video.

Influence does not come automatically with age or experience

👉SUMMARY

Influence is not automatically granted with age or experience and must be earned through hard work and building good relationships.

It takes effort to gain influence and authority, and younger people who have achieved success and influence have done so by continuously improving and growing themselves.

Stardom offers an “Authority Influencer” roadmap to help people become successful influencers in their niche.

👉 TRANSCRIPT

The belief that influence comes automatically with age or experience is incorrect. It’s always earned through hard work, consistency, and building good relationships.

I understand that it’s natural to think that one’s age or experience would automatically grant them a level of authority or influence, but in reality, it takes a lot of effort to build a following and make an impact.

At best, age and experience can get you some respect but not influence or authority.

Just because someone is older or has more experience doesn’t necessarily mean they have influence, right?

There are plenty of examples of young people who have achieved great success and have a significant influence.

How can they continuously improve and grow despite their age and lack of experience? You see them all the time, don’t you?

These attributes are more like a muscle that needs to be exercised and developed over time. Just like a physical muscle, if you don’t work on building your influence, it will remain weak and ineffective.

Now, let me ask you these questions, How can you

1)Add value to others?

2)Connect with your audience on a deeper level?

3 )Continuously improve and grow as an individual?

Answering these questions can help you identify opportunities to build positive influence.

If you continue to believe that influence comes automatically with age or experience, you may miss out on the opportunity to make a real impact and build a fan following.

On the other hand, if you take an active role in building your brand and connecting with your audience, you’ll open yourself up to new opportunities and the possibility of making a real impact.

At Stardom, our clients get the opportunity to massively increase their influence and develop indisputable authority in their marketplace using our powerful support system.

They all start with the “Authority Influencer” roadmap. It’s our proprietary, 3-phase, 9-step plan for growth-oriented people like you.

5 Traits Of Effective Leaders!

👉SUMMARY
Let’s discuss the five traits of Highly Effective Leader

Five Traits of Effective Leader Include

  • Vision
  • Communication
  • Emotional Intelligence,
  • Adaptability
  • Confidence

These traits are essential for inspiring and guiding others to achieve a common goal and influencing and motivating people to take action and make a difference.

Effective leadership is essential for driving progress and achieving success.

Anyone can become a more effective leader and positively impact those around them by working on these key traits.

👉 TRANSCRIPT

All right, that’s a good question. What are the five traits of Highly Effective leaders?

Let’s explore this and understand what it takes to be a great leader and how to become even more effective.

But first things first, leadership is about, you know, inspiring and guiding others to achieve a common goal.

It’s about influencing and motivating people to take action and make a difference.

Whether you’re leading a small team at work, a large group of volunteers in your community, or your company. Effective leadership is essential for driving progress and achieving success.

Qualities of Effective Leader

Here, I can give you a few key traits that leaders often have or possess that I have found effective.

The first thing is vision; great leaders have a clear vision of what they want to achieve. They can inspire others to follow that vision. It’s also known as clarity, and clarity is the key.

The second point is communication. Strong communication skills are crucial for leaders.

They must be able to clearly articulate their ideas and listen to their, or the perspective of others, like communicating and talking & listening.

And the next one could be emotional intelligence; influential leaders can understand and manage their emotions and those around them. It’s very, very crucial.

One more I can think of is adaptability. Great leaders can adjust their plans and strategies in response to changing circumstances, making them leaders.

Highly effective leaders involve everyone when they create their plans or strategies. They get people interested in such activities.

It’s not the leader’s plan that followers are following. The follower’s plan the leader is leading.

And one more thing is that confidence is essential for inspiring others and making difficult decisions.

However, balancing confidence and humility is necessary when that line is very thin.

So, leadership is a journey, and there’s always room for growth and development by working on these key traits.

Anyone can become a more effective leader and positively impact those around them.

These are my five observations about effective leadership.

TRANSCRIPT

Welcome back, everyone! It’s Raam Anand here.

Today, let’s talk about how to become an authority and influencer by creating valuable content.

As a thought leader, it’s important to continuously share your ideas and perspectives, whether it’s through a video, book, blog post, or some other medium.

I’ve been coaching authors and non-fiction business authors for many years and one thing I’ve noticed is that even after they write a book, they still need to continue to share good, valuable, and useful content all the time.

This helps them maintain their status as an influencer and thought leader.

So how do they do that?

3 Content Styles

There are three main styles of content that I coach my clients to use while creating content.

By using these styles and tailoring them to your audience, you can create effective and engaging content that will capture their attention!

Episode Style

The first content style is called Episode Style. This consists of content such as stories, edutainment videos, emails, blog posts, or videos that have a point or a lesson to be learned.

Controversial content also comes under episode style.

These are the content that is designed to generate discussion and debate, such as an article or video that takes a stand on a contentious issue.

I mean, think about all of the soap operas you have seen coming up so you can create your own stuff like that.

Forget about the need for multiple cameras and big productions – all you need is a phone, you and me talking, and the ideas for content that matter.

Epiphany Style

Another style is the Epiphany Style. An epiphany is a sudden realization, like a moment of clarity, that can be shared through videos or written posts.

With the epiphany style, you can share your ideas and insights, create inspirational posts and videos, and challenge beliefs that are not necessarily true.

This type of content can be used to entertain, provoke, and challenge your audience.

Educational style

Another style that is very common is Educational style videos.

Educational videos can be a great way to share knowledge with your audience.

From checklists and how-to videos to Q&As and FAQs, there’s a variety of content you can create to provide valuable information.

Whether you want to give step-by-step instructions for a task or answer commonly asked questions about a topic, educational videos are an effective way to impart knowledge.

And don’t forget to include some of your own SAQs—should ask questions—where you can share your expertise on the subject.

Conclusion

Today we have covered three different styles of content creation: Epiphany style, episodic style, and educational style.

No matter which style you choose, I can’t wait to see what you create!

Don’t be afraid to post your content on social networks, like LinkedIn, and don’t forget to tag me so I can come and cheer you on.

If you enjoyed this video and want to help others benefit from it too, don’t keep it to yourself – like, comment and share it to spread the word.

I’d love to hear how it worked for you.

4 Fears Of First-Time Authors

Summary

This blog discusses the fears associated with writing and publishing a book – specifically, the professional fear related to one’s professional ability and the fear of failure and criticism from others.

These fears can cause one to doubt their capabilities and limit their potential to become a published author.

However, understanding the causes of these fears is the first step in overcoming them.

By developing self-awareness and focusing on the positive potential of writing a book, one can apperceive the benefits of becoming an author and move past the fear of judgment. Having the support of a coach and a publisher can

Keep believing in yourself and keep moving forward, and you will get all the best things in life.

FULL TRANSCRIPT – 4 Fears Of First-Time Authors

Imagine being just a few feet away from summiting Mount Everest and suddenly realizing you have a fear of heights so intense that you must turn back.

Otherwise you’re about to launch your music album, with only seconds left until the big moment – only to come to a sudden halt because of your fear of public speaking.

These are extreme examples, but the same fears are common for first-time authors who want to write and publish their books.

I’ve experienced them myself, and I’ve seen hundreds of authors worldwide face the same fears.

I’ve coached and trained more than 200 authors, and nearly all of them had had one or more of these fears before they began their journey as authors.

Let’s explore some of the biggest fears people face and overcome professionally.

We’ll look at the causes of these fears and how to address them.

Professional Fear – Fears Of First Time Authors

The first type of fear is professional fear.

This is related to one’s professional identity, such as their work, where they work, whom they work with, their title, and more.

Causes Of Professional Fear

Two main causes of this fear are expertise fear and peer pressure.

Expertise Fear

Expertise fear is questioning one’s ability to perform a task, do a good job, or even enhance their profession through writing a book.

Peer Pressure

Peer pressure is worrying about what their boss, colleagues, and association will think.

By understanding the causes of professional fear, we can better identify how to address and overcome them.

To overcome the fears associated with writing and publishing your own book, focus on the impact you can create.

Think about how it can help you become an authority and influencer on your topic. The fear will start to fade when you understand the potential benefits.

Personal Fears – Fears Of First Time Authors

When it comes to personal fears, such as fear of failure and fear of expectation, it is essential to reflect on your attributes, values, and beliefs.

Ask yourself why you are feeling these fears and what steps you can take to address them.

High expectations of yourself can be a fear that limits your potential to become a published author. But don’t let it stop you from achieving your goals.

Identifying these limiting beliefs is the first step in overcoming them.

Once identified, you can start tackling them head-on by embracing change and the new adventure that becoming an author will bring. It will open up a world of possibilities and take you on a journey that will change your identity and fulfill your dreams.

When you write a book and become a published author, you gain more than just a professional title – you gain a lifetime identity.

You may be a doctor, engineer, CEO, or CXO, but when you write a book, you become an author too.

This is an identity that will stay with you forever, elevating your professional profile and allowing you to stand out in the crowd.

Writing a book is an opportunity to create a lasting legacy and leave a mark on the world.

Creative Fears – Fears Of First Time Authors

It is natural to have fears related to the creation of your book.

  • Fears of process
  • Fear of mediocrity
  • Fear of expectations

These are all common and understandable. But the way to overcome these fears is to face them head-on. Go for it. Embrace the adventure and challenge yourself to create something great.

Rather than worrying about mediocrity, focus on honing your craft, sharpening your ideas, and understanding your audience. This way, you can create something that will stand out and be appreciated for its quality.

Don’t let fear stand in your way; use it to motivate yourself to create something unique.

Overcome your limiting beliefs and fears of the process and mediocrity with the help of a publishing coach or a hybrid publishing house like Stardom.

Our clients don’t even know their topic when they start their projects but we create, find out, and dig out the best insights and perspectives that can be distilled into a book.

We do all the exercises to help our clients create a book that not only makes them proud but also helps them solve their existing business or professional problems and reach higher aspirations.

Once you have a publishing advisor in place, you will have the accountability, guidance, and action steps you need to complete your book on time.

Reception Fear – Fears Of First Time Authors

Another fear that many authors have is fear of reception – the fear of not having any readers or being criticized and judged once the book is published.

A publishing advisor can help you manage these fears and support you to move forward with your project confidently.

Writing your first book can be an intimidating process that can cause a lot of self-doubt and insecurity.

But once you’ve gone through the process, you’ll have gained immense confidence and a newfound appreciation for your capabilities. And for subsequent books, the feeling of being overwhelmed will be less pronounced.

To make the process easier, remember that criticism and judgment are inevitable in any situation. Whether you write a book or not do a job, people will always have their opinions.

Everyone is vulnerable to criticism, from the top 1% of celebrities and politicians to everyday business leaders and professionals.

So, enjoy the process, and don’t let the fear of judgment stop you from creating something incredible.

Example

For example, millions of people admire and appreciate Bill Gates and Steve Jobs.

However, there are also a few people who criticize them. But it’s important to remember that these criticisms are only a tiny fraction of the total feedback; for every thousand comments, there might be five or ten negative ones.

Instead of focusing on the small minority of criticizers, take the time to appreciate the countless supporters cheering you on.

Don’t let the tire-kickers and naysayers drown out the positive feedback. Focus on the people who are encouraging you and enjoy the process.

Awareness is the key; you know where these fears come from and how to tackle them before they rob you of your dream of becoming a published author. So, keep believing in yourself and keep moving forward.

I am signing off here. Raam Anand once again, and keep smiling. Believe in yourself and get all the best things in life.

5 Rules To Create An Interesting Non-Fiction Book In 2023

SUMMARY

Creating an interesting nonfiction book requires following 5 critical rules – Summary

This summary provides advice about how to create an interesting and engaging nonfiction book.

It encourages authors to consider their goal for their book and their audience before beginning their project.

Furthermore, authors should focus on teaching rather than just telling, use professional language, plan and structure their book, set achievable targets throughout the process, and not be afraid to ask for help.

Additionally, authors should include interactive elements such as assessments, ask questions at the end of each chapter, and use communication tools, such as video, chat, newsletter, and messaging to interact with their readers.

Finally, authors should make their book stand out from the crowd by keeping it simple and updating their knowledge on the topic.

Following these five rules will ensure the success of an engaging and interesting nonfiction book.

TRANSCRIPT

Are you looking to create an interesting and engaging nonfiction book?

Then you need to follow these five rules to ensure it stands out from the crowd.

Creating an interesting nonfiction book requires following five critical rules.

Based on working with 200 authors worldwide, these rules are essential for writing books in the nonfiction categories of business and leadership.

The tone of voice should be kept professional, and these rules will not apply to fiction, poetry, textbooks, or academic books.

Writing a book is a great way to build a fanbase, but it’s essential to make sure you have an audience and purpose in mind before you begin.

When selecting a goal for your book, it’s vital to make sure it’s not just because someone else has done it or because someone asked you to do it – it should be because you want to help others and make it an interesting read.

To ensure you create a book that is meaningful and fulfilling, here are five rules to keep in mind:

Rules for creating an interesting nonfiction book !

Firstly, please focus on the goal of your book, not its topic; secondly, ensure your tone of voice is professional; thirdly, take time to plan and structure your book; fourthly, set achievable targets throughout the writing process; and fifth, don’t be afraid to ask for help.

With these tips in mind, you can confidently begin writing your book and achieving your goal.

First Rule for creating an interesting nonfiction book – Genuine Interest

The first rule for writing a successful book is to have a genuine interest in your audience. This means taking the time to get to know your readers and understanding their wants and needs.

It is not enough to simply write about what you are interested in; you must consider what your readers will find valuable or interesting.

By cultivating an interest in your readers, you can ensure that your book will be interesting and engaging for them.

This will be the first step to writing a book that will be widely read.

The recommendation was that people should read a book if they want to take action and become followers. If the book is not interesting, it will likely go back on the shelf, never to be opened again.

However, if it is interesting, readers will not only finish it but also take action to reach out to the author, becoming a follower and a fan.

Second Rule for creating an interesting nonfiction book -Write To Teach

Writing an interesting nonfiction book is the second thing people should do, as it is a perfect medium for teaching rather than simply telling.

Example 1 – Seven Habits of Highly Effective People

A classic example of a successful nonfiction book is Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. The author should create an interesting book that teaches, rather than tells to create the attention of their readers.

Stephen Covey’s The Seven Habits is a book that provides a context, definition, training, examples, situations, other references, and a framework for each habit discussed.

It also asks questions and provides answers to drive the point. This book is written to teach, and authors can take their topic, break it down into teaching points, and teach one point per chapter or five points per chapter.

Example 2: Thriving Hacks

For example, Ravi Kumar’s book Thriving Hacks discusses hundreds of hacks in each chapter, subdivided into different areas of life such as career and finance.

Regardless, the authors we work with have the same goal: writing to teach well. We don’t simply accept a manuscript and start working on improving it; our approach is quite different.

Third Rule for creating an interesting nonfiction book – Interact

At our publishing house, we don’t just start working on a manuscript when it is submitted; instead, we start at the basic level.

Authors only need an idea for a book and don’t even need to know the topic.

We will help them figure out the book’s details, and make it more interesting to engage with the audience.

How can you engage in a book?

I mean, you cannot interact in a video now, but how can you interact in a book if you are chatting with someone if you are messaging if you are on WhatsApp, you can interact, right?

But how do you interact in a book?

That is precisely why you should do this.

Importance Of Communication:

Gone are the days when books were a one-way communication with the author simply telling and teaching something to the reader.

Today, communication is much more interactive, and the author is available in many different forms, both online and offline, making it easier to communicate with readers.

To make nonfiction books more interesting, authors should include interactive elements such as asking questions at the end of each chapter and adding assessments for readers to rate themselves.

This will not only be engaging, but it will also allow readers to ask questions, answer them and rate themselves.

This two-way communication benefits both authors and readers and will help create a more enjoyable reading experience.

In a way, it can become like a workbook at the end of the chapter, providing readers with a unique opportunity to interact with the author, watch videos, join a mailing list, or send messages.

This presents an opportunity to take advantage of the interconnectedness of the Internet, connecting readers to the author and the author to the readers, creating a list of fans and followers.

In this way, publishing a book is no longer an independent strategy but one deeply interconnected with the rest of the world.

Fourth Rule for creating an interesting nonfiction book – K.I.S.S – Keep it simple , stupid

To make a book more interesting and to engage readers, authors must use strategies that bestselling authors employ.

This includes keeping the content simple and avoiding the temptation of trying to put everything they know into the book.

Additionally, authors should be bold in expressing their love or appreciation to their family members, whether through words or gestures.

Using these strategies, authors can create a book that is both interesting and engaging for their readers.

Fifth Rule for creating an interesting nonfiction book – Good, Better Or Best

The importance of shifting your mindset when confronting difficulties and the best someone can do in any given task.

When facing difficulties, it is best to recognize that you have done your best and that the same should be expected of others.

It encourages us to challenge ourselves to do better in our tasks, which better means being more informed and updating our knowledge on the topic.

With a professional tone, it encourages us to strive for the best and not accept mediocrity.

Conclusion

With the ever-evolving world, it is natural to want to improve things.

As a professional, CEO, or expert, you have the unique knowledge and insights that could make your version of a book even better.

If you decide to do this, it is important to make it enjoyable and better than what others have taught, thus making it stand out from the crowd.

Professionally speaking, what are you teaching? Those same teachings can be found in a book, video, documentary, course, or seminar.

When authors work with us, we coach them to choose their topic, as strategy is essential.

To ensure everyone gets the best, you need to be aware of the problems your audience is facing and know more about them to teach how to solve their problems and why you are teaching them.

In order to be successful as an author, it is important to keep your writing simple and interactive.

This allows readers to comprehend the information being shared easily and to absorb your knowledge, insights, and perspective.

Furthermore, if done well, it can lead to international fame and success.

Most successful authors were not well-known before writing their book, but achieved their fame through the use of effective strategies.

Therefore, taking the time to master the art of writing and stimulating your audience will prove to be invaluable in becoming an international bestselling author.

How To Hire a Book Publishing Coach

Transcript:

Coaching has been known to boost confidence, improve project performance, and build effective communication skills.

Like any other big challenge, writing a book is a significant milestone. So, having a good coach who can guide you through the way might help you set clear goals for your book.

A coach will help you overcome the various hurdles of book writing and save you from losing sight of the end result. The world’s highest achievers have coaches for various areas like fitness, business, meditation, spiritual, finance, high-performance, parenting, communication, voice training, management, fashion, and many others.

That’s because, having a Coach Has Many Benefits:

  1. Developing a roadmap for success with clear milestones so that you reach those goals.
  2. Creating a system or a plan for taking up the journey of writing and publishing your book.
  3. Evaluating your progress vis-a-vis the formulated plan at regular intervals and make any changes, if needed, according to the situation.
  4. Organizing and developing your book or book proposal.
  5. Giving you simple and easy-to-use plans, templates, or tools to help you expedite the launching of your book.
  6. Expanding your author platform.
  7. Developing a compelling promotion plan for your book.

Having said that, choosing a coach is not an easy task. You will need to consider many things. To help you, here are seven critical factors to consider when you are hiring ANY coach:

• First, Experience and Education:

Are they qualified and educated to help you succeed? Are their education and experience forged in the realities of the marketplace? Or are they just regurgitating the content they learned from someone else?

If I were to look for an expert to learn from, I would always choose the person who has worked in the particular field and who will, therefore, have valuable and viable insights to share.

So, if you are looking to hire the services of a coach to help publish your book, you should look for someone who has excelled in all three areas—– reading (someone who reads a lot of books), writing (who has already written their own books), and publishing (who has published other peoples’ books).

• Second, experience of Facing Challenges Head-On:

Enquire if your prospective coach or mentor has dealt with his or her share of challenges. These need not have been in the same field as yours, but make sure your coach has been where you are now. If your mentor or coach has had it easy, you might have difficulty bonding with them.

Why is this important?

Well, a coach who has gone through life hurdles will help you see the world as it is and prepare you for all sorts of challenges life might throw at you.

• Third – Verifiable Results:

Have they created or produced the same results you want to manifest, or do they ‘just teach this stuff’ from reading books on those topics?

Would it not be better to learn from those people who have travelled on the same path that you now want to traverse?

Is it not better to learn from those who can walk their talk and who have ‘been there done that’?

Your coach should be a role model for you in terms of their success or have a track record of genuinely making a positive difference in the world and helping their clients. Their success will motivate you to reach for the same heights.

Another point to note here is that your coach should be successful in terms of what you think success is. After all, success is relative and unique to every individual, isn’t it?

• Number four – Values Alignment:

Are your values aligned with the coach’s?

For example, you might be a fun-loving, upbeat, and laid-back person and your coach is more like an old-school drillmaster. In this situation, you might struggle to understand and apply the practices and strategies they impart to you.

While this may be an extreme example, you should be aware that even the slightest hint of incompatibility between your values and your coach’s values can cause this process of writing your book to be knocked out.

• Number five – Program Content:

Analyze the methods your coach intends to practice. Will you enjoy implementing the strategies he or she prescribes? Will you find the process that he or she wants you to subscribe to as fun and authentic? Make an informed decision. Having a coach you do not vibe with is a bad idea, and it will only compromise the quality of your book.

• Number six – Satisfied Clients:

Who are their clients? Are they happy with their results? Check for their testimonials and reviews. Make sure to ask around before committing to the person.

• And strategy number seven – Learning Structure:

Analyze and review the methods your coach uses. Are you being benefited? Are the teachings and ways aiding you to reach your goal? Think about it…. and do not rush and make a hasty decision. Some things take time.

So, whenever you want to hire a coach, use this checklist. Use the strategies to evaluate your options and choose the one who checks off all the pointers.

Hope this helps.

Perfection is a Leader’s worst enemy.

Transcript:

I have to create a perfect book in order to publish it. This is one of the most heard sentences I have heard as a publishing coach. Many leaders believe that their book has to be “perfect” in all ways if they want to publish it, although the definition of that ‘perfection’ is not clear.

Well… I understand if you are thinking that people may judge you if you publish a mediocre book. That’s completely valid.

But, this argument or… “excuse” has clipped the wings of many peoples’ dreams of becoming a published author. They go behind ‘perfection’ and it never gets done.

Think about it…. Is the world perfect? Is anyone actually perfect? Is there anything that can be called a perfect relationship, a perfect product, or even a perfect person? Although we all want to be ‘perfect’ in everything we do, it’s rarely a reality.

In fact, it’s the imperfections that makes us strive and improve each and every day. We learn, we try, we fail, and we improve and try again.

So instead of focusing on putting together a ‘perfect’ book, or waiting for a ‘perfect’ time, isn’t it more fulfilling to create something first and then improve it until you are satisfied? Isn’t this a more growth-oriented approach?

Well… the most valued organizations in the world do this all the time. For example, Microsoft… did they wait for the ‘perfect’ software to launch or did they launch a ‘good’ software and then made continuous improvements? Do you remember the first version of Microsoft Windows or the MS-Word software? I am sure you will be surprised to see the difference. And still, they are improving and releasing new versions.

If you are a perfectionist, then you will never be able to write a book. You can continue to wait for the perfect opportunity, the perfect time, or the perfect topic to begin writing your book OR you can get started by collaborating with key resources that can help you achieve your dream.

As a first step, schedule a free consultation with one of our highly trained publishing advisors and discuss. Maybe you will find something interesting or fulfilling to pursue. You can also figure out whether writing a book is the right choice for you or not and what kind of help and support you may need to accomplish this.

Being a role model of hope & help to people.

Being-a-role-model-of-hope-&-help-to-people

Transript:

Leadership is all about being a role model and offering hope & help to people. This is what I stand for.

Today, people like entrepreneurs, experts, and professionals… who are in leadership roles are failing because they are not really striving towards being a role model to their followers. Servant leadership and leadership by example… are the two most widely successful strategies that have helped create some of the world’s largest organisations in the world… and yet, some leaders are missing these big ideas in favour of shortcuts, positions, and certifications.

There’s nothing wrong with a shortcut, if it helps in increasing productivity… but trying to use it as a leadership strategy falls flat. Positions and titles, only give an initial head start… like for example… CEO, CFO, Managing Director… titles like this will put you in a leadership position… will get you the driver’s seat… but won’t help you gain followers, right? And, talking about various certifications, awards, associations… these are all are good in enhancing abilities but may not necessarily help other people.. especially your followers.

People want to follow you because they see you as their role model. You do things that THEY believe in. You demonstrate abilities that THEY value the most. In other words, they see or want to see all the qualities they lack in order to succeed,… in YOU. You want to be a role model for them. You want to offer them hope and help. You are their beacon to get them to their next level… and trust me… everyone, including you and me, irrespective of our present positions,…. We all have another level to rise up to, yes?

Just think about your own role models… people who have had a tremendous amount of influence…. on YOU? I bet all that positive influence can be attributed in some way to being a role model. The more common example is followers and fans of movie actors. They follow their star so closely… they dress like their star, they pickup their speaking style, they even adopt their star’s social causes. When James Bond wears a new Omega watch in a movie, the fans quickly start buying and wearing them as well… at 8000 dollars a piece, it’s not just about checking time… they feel a little bit of James Bond in themselves when to do it. They are following their role model.

So, being a role model is going to be the deciding factor for effective leadership. This is going to intensify even more during this decade. People will need role models in different areas of their life. This decade will belong to thought leaders who could be role models to their followers. The physical world is in chaos and the digital world is overwhelmed with information overload. There are too many things for people to do, already. That’s why they need you… to offer them hope and help… to lead them even more effectively… and be their role model.

If that’s you, then it’s time to find your message to the world and build your fan base and follower-audience to lead. Let’s do that together at www.raamanand.com. That’s my website — r-a-a-m-a-n-a-n-d.com… join me and other aspiring role models and thought leaders and choose your path to the next level. See you on the other side…. And until then, keep smiling, believe in yourself, and get all the best things in life.
