3 Big Ideas, Tips or Strategies for this week

1. Willingness Bug – Most people think of ‘willingness’ as a condition or a viewpoint when it really is ‘action.’ When a person is willing, they act. Where there is a will, there’s a way… AND an action to go along the way. Be willing.

2. The Greater Fool Theory – Bill Gates said he thinks cryptocurrencies and NFTs are 100% based on the Greater Fool Theory.

The greater fool theory of economics suggests that it doesn’t matter at what price you buy an asset, so long as there is some “greater fool” out there who will buy it for more.

3. Dabur Vatika Ad – A TV commercial for the brand showed a bald woman who had just recovered from cancer. The ad says, “some people don’t need hair to look beautiful.” This is storytelling to create an emotional bond with the audience. Emotional branding creates a deeper connection that separates it from the rest, building brand loyalty over time.

2 Stories, Quotes, or Case-Studies for this week

1. Adidas Logo

Adidas logo developed its famous three strips from the founder Karhu Sports, who was short on capital post-WW-II. The owners decided to sell the trademark to their logo for $1600 and two bottles of whiskey.

2. Our Deepest Fear

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frighten us.

We ask ourselves, “Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous”?

Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.

We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.

As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Raam’s notes – I have found this piece of prose invaluable when working one on one with someone who has lost their way, feels small, or doubts the contribution they are making.
